Can you believe it is your second Father’s Day as a dad? I am so glad that we get to celebrate this day with you because you are truly what this day is about. I could not ask for a better dad for Genevieve. You are so patient and kind to her and you make it clear every day just how much you love her.
I love to watch you and Genevieve together, to see how you adore each other. There is nothing that you wouldn’t do for your little girl. As a matter of fact there is nothing that you DON’T do! You take such good care of Genevieve; from changing diapers and potty time to dressing her and combing her hair, you do it all. It was especially nice when you cooked her such a nutritious and tasty meal a few nights ago. Quin-what! (You take good care of me too- I am writing this while sitting in the car while Genevieve naps and you just brought me some salad. Thanks!)
You have made some really special memories with Genevieve these past 18 months, like the dance baby changing table song and how about poop there it is! You taught Genevieve to play guitar and can I get a what what! Speaking of guitar, I can remember Genevieve at just 5 months old crawling over to you so excitedly when you would sit on the floor and play guitar or ukulele for her. She wanted to just climb right into your lap as you played! Genevieve loves music and I can’t wait to see how you two will continue to share a special bond through it. It is so wonderful to watch the two of you playing the drums together or moving your shakers to the music.
You are such a thoughtful father and I am constantly amazed at the insight you have about bringing up Genevieve. You notice everything about her and you are so attuned to her needs. Genevieve is blessed to have you as a father and I am blessed to have you as my husband. I thank God for you every day. I am so glad that Genevieve has a dad that she can look up to. I know that you will teach her to love and follow Jesus. I appreciate how hard you work each day to support your family and I want you to know that although I don’t always acknowledge them, I see all the things you do to take care of us. From the smallest things like changing a diaper to the bigger things, like working seven days a week, I see that everything that you do is out of love for your family. I know that you put us first above all else. I respect and admire you and I am so glad to celebrate this Father’s Day with you.
