Have I mentioned…

… just how much this girl loves her swing?

Seriously, she will sit in there for hours!! And oh my, the smiles and the giggles. I love watching her in there. Sometimes she will even fall asleep and take a nap in the swing.

Best. Thing. Ever.

Thanks Pop Pop!

Charlotte, you are 7 months old today!

You weigh 17 pounds 10 ounces and you are 27 inches long. You are such a big girl! You are crawling all over the place like a pro. You are also pulling up and even starting to cruise. You love to stand up next to the couch and try to reach things. Thankfully you have now learned how to get down, although you sometimes still fall. We had to move you to the pack and play to sleep now because it was too dangerous in your crib. You kept falling down in there.

Charlotte, you are a sweet, happy girl. You are also very energetic. You are always moving which makes it really difficult to change your diaper! You twist and turn and make it very challenging for us. It is also very tricky getting you dressed. You just keep us on our toes. 🙂

You started to talk a lot this past week. You love making these throaty ahhhh sounds. Now you are babbling a lot more, saying babababa or dadadada. I love hearing your sweet little voice.

You are starting to get attached to your mama. Sometimes you cry when I leave the room. I am pretty attached to you too. 🙂

We started to give you some solid food this month. You have eaten avocado, banana and egg yolks. I have also given you little tastes of some other vegetables we have been eating. You seem to like the foods so far. We are letting you just have fun with it and you are so cute to watch. I slice the avocado into thin strips and give them to you. You pick them up in your little fists and you manage to get some in your mouth. (and everywhere else!)

You bring so much joy to our lives each and every day. I love you sweet Charlotte!

Genevieve, you are such an exuberant little girl. It is amazing to watch you changing each day. You keep us laughing all day long with all your antics!! You definitely keep me on my toes!

You are a strong little girl and I pray every day that God would use that strength of will that you demonstrate to me each day to help you to stand firm for Him. I think about all of the things that you are going to face in this world and sometimes it scares me. Above all things, I hope that you will be firmly rooted in the love of your Heavenly Father, so that no matter what comes your way you will be able stay pure and remain steadfast in your faith in God. I pray that God will help me to teach you His ways and give me grace so that I can be a good example to you.

I just love you so much Genevieve. I treasure your smile, your voice, your sweet, caring heart, your infectious laugh. I love to watch you dance and sing, which you do all day long. You dance up on your toes like a little ballerina and you wave your arms gracefully. But your favorite thing to do lately is to walk around with your “long hair” which can be a scarf, a playsilk, a blanket or just about anything long. You will just walk around and around in circles dragging your “hair” behind you. You are obsessed with Rapunzel! (And all the other princesses too!)

One of the things that you do lately that it so funny is when you ask us to do something or for something and we say you no, you respond by saying “I don’t mind!”

“Can I have chocolate cake for breakfast?” “No, that is not a healthy breakfast.” “I don’t mind.”

“Genevieve, get down from the table. It’s not safe to stand on the table.” “I don’t mind!”

You have been practicing piano every day and I am so impressed with how well you are doing. You go to the piano on your own a lot and play your favorite songs. Sometimes we have to gently encourage (translation: bribe) you to practice but I think you really enjoy playing. You don’t want to perform for anyone though!! I love to sit and practice with you. It is so exciting to watch you improve and I love that it is something we can do together.

You are my special little girl and I will love you always!!
